Your JHSC Certification starts here. First learn the basics.

  • Certification is a two-step training process.
    • Part One is the first step in training Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC) members, providing them with a well-rounded understanding of health and safety fundamentals they can apply to their own workplace. Committee members become certified after completing BOTH Part One and Part Two training.
    • This training meets the learning objectives outlined in the Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) JHSC Certification Training Program Standard, which took effect on March 1, 2016.
  • Visit the JHSC Certification Training Overview page for more information on the Certification pathway.

NOTE: Due to requirements of the current JHSC Certification Training Standards, JHSC members need to complete Part Two within 12 months of taking Part One, or they will be required to repeat the Part One training in order to be certified.
