Noise in the workplace can cause annoyance, be stressful, and interfere with speech communication. Prolonged exposure to noise can result in permanent hearing loss. This course introduces the effects of noise, hearing loss, and strategies for controlling noise. It also explains how to recognize workplace noise hazards and prevent hearing loss, including ways to eliminate or reduce the damaging effects of noise exposure.
