Overview

Employers have the duty to provide a healthy and safe work place for all employees. This duty includes developing and implementing a harassment and violence prevention program, and investigating, recording, and reporting all occurrences of violence and harassment.  

This updated course is intended for designated recipients and employers in federally regulated work places. It discusses the specific duties of the employer, including policy development, investigation techniques, processes, program evaluation and the role of the designated recipient. It will help you apply the Canada Labour Code, Part II, including the Work Place Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations, so you can be prepared to prevent and respond to harassment and violence in your work place.  

Note: By buying this course, you do NOT need to buy Harassment and Violence Prevention for Employees or Harassment and Violence Prevention for Managers and Committees and Representatives. This course includes the content from those two courses.

Harassment and Violence Prevention for Employees helps workers understand harassment and violence in federally regulated work places, so they can learn how to recognize and report it.  

Harassment and Violence Prevention for Managers and Committees and Representatives is intended for work place leaders, such as supervisors, managers, and committee members or health and safety representatives. It provides an overview of the responsibilities and duties of these work place groups in preventing harassment and violence in federally regulated work places.
