Overview

The intent of this training program is for greenhouse organizations to adopt controls to address identified root causes noted in the IRARCA report, such as - reporting near misses, fit for duty policies, preventative maintenance programs, the internal responsivity system and change management.

WSPS virtual courses are delivered via Adobe Connect or Microsoft Teams.  Platform specifics will be communicated at time of registration.

This training program will:

  • Actively engage the Ontario Greenhouse organizations and key workplace parties to recognize and understand the legal health and safety requirements of the OHSA and its regulations
  • Help workplace parties in the Greenhouse industry understand their specific roles, responsibilities and obligations and how they can actively support the internal responsibility system of their organization.
  • Increase the industry's awareness of the hazard risks and necessary controls required to ensure a healthy workplace while working in a greenhouse.
