Machinery-related hazards are a leading cause of serious workplace injuries and fatalities. Staff and students operating machinery and equipment in non-production environments are particularly at risk. WSPS offers a comprehensive solution tailored to these unique workplaces.

Physical Conditions and Equipment Inspections Training provides essential information on common hazards and controls in non-production work environments, such as technological learning spaces, maintenance areas, and vehicle service shops. Participants will learn how to conduct inspections and understand health and safety legislation, ensuring a safe environment for students and workers. Plus, each participant will receive an inspection checklist to help them maintain safety standards and prevent incidents in their workplace.

  • Occupational health & safety legislation related to roles in the Internal Responsibility System (IRS) for health and safety within the workplace
  • Common hazards within the workplace or learning environment and the controls that address them
  • Conducting a workplace or learning environment inspection, including what to look for, how to document and how to report any follow up actions
