Training Overview

This training will focus on the hiring and managing aspects, when a contractor is required to perform work within a facility. The focus of this course will be on the steps involved in hiring outside contractors from the pre-contract planning stage to awarding the contract. The program will then switch gears and highlight the process of managing on-site contractors, by ensuring the learner is made aware of different steps involved from the required roles and responsibilities of the parties involved, to conducting the exit interview to determine if there will be consideration for future re-hiring of the contractor.

The focus of Construction in Industrial establishments segment will be on applicable definitions such as "constructor", "construction" and "project". It will also assist the learner in gaining a better insight into determining what and when a project is being undertaken and what the legislated site requirements are that need to be implemented.

**This course is the amalgamation of Construction in Industrial establishments and Hiring and Managing Outside Contractors.
