Ensuring the health and safety of all workers and maintaining a work place that is free from harassment and violence is a duty of the employer. This course is intended for supervisors, managers, committee members and health and safety representatives in the Canadian federal jurisdiction. It will expand upon the specific duties required of employer representatives, the power and role of the committee (right of participation), and legislative aspects such as work place assessments, implementing recommendations, resolution processes, record keeping, and reporting.

By completing this course, you will have a deeper understanding of the roles and legal responsibilities of the employer, and learn the steps involved in implementing a properly developed work place harassment and violence prevention program in compliance with the Canada Labour Code, Part II and the Work Place Harassment and Violence Prevention Regulations requirements.
